Common Questions About Dental Implants

Here are answers to the questions we hear most often. Have a specific question? Call us at (610) 948-5552 or schedule a consultation.

Does getting a dental implant hurt?

Most patients report less discomfort than they expected. The implant procedure is performed under local anesthesia, so you won't feel pain during placement. Afterward, any discomfort is typically mild and easily managed with over-the-counter medication. Many patients return to normal activities within a day or two.

How long does the implant process take?

The complete process typically takes 3-6 months from start to finish. The implant placement appointment takes about 1-2 hours. Then, the implant needs 3-4 months to integrate with your jawbone before we can place the final crown. In some cases, we can provide a temporary crown right away.

Will my insurance cover dental implants?

Many dental insurance plans now provide partial coverage for implants. Coverage varies by plan, but typically includes 50% of the crown portion. We'll verify your benefits and help you understand your coverage during your consultation. We also offer flexible financing options.
